New Site: The Daily Word

“The Daily Word”, a daily Scripture site (therefore religious in nature) has been launched today. Its primary goal is to share the Good News to all men, one or two daily verses at a time. This I sought as a personal advocacy for Christian awareness and meditation for people of all walks of life–regardless of denomination, fellowship, or church–in the midst of the everyday hustle and bustle where seeking God has been relegated to the backseat.

MICROPOST: 11-ish PM is Creativity Time

After a marathon of about for episodes of Gilmore Girls which I sort of watch almost on a daily basis when I’m bored, I have come to the conclusion of writing yet another micropost for today since words escape me when a streamline of thoughts come crashing in to overwhelm my subconscious unto my soul’s suffocation. Regardless, there is something queer about such overflowing ideas for they usually come at 11PM. Yes, the hour before the day passes onto the next, when the cock crows queerly at the sight of bats hovering around their cages. It might seem not too much of a fine time for concocting various ruminations concerning a myriad of things but 11PM seems to be my most finest hour in terms of the creative aspect: I envision short story plots, write my free verse, manage my blogging routines or simply conjure up even a trivial piece, and stare blankly onto space adjudging what ought to be a more viable “Gilmore Girls” ending to preempt Amy Sherman-Palladino’s version to be broadcast on Netflix supposedly this year. Now with all aforementioned preoccupation to the best of my abilities, 11PM seems to be ace for me: where the night paves away to yet another morn, towards a serving of a more enhanced version of daydreaming and imagination.

Till my next session of creativity.

MICROPOST: If Only I Had Written Like This, It Would Be Fantastic

Stuttter, BuddyPress and BbPress’ developer John Jacoby has some eloquent things to say regarding how difficult he is to work with:

If only this writer (yours truly) knew how to elaborate that much, namely with all existing vocabulary that may be extracted with such ease from my brain’s quarters, then I would be a happy blogger.

MICROPOST: Sleeping

As I write this, I’m on the verge of logging off because I have to keep up with my sleep. Unfortunately, though, my head keeps ramming itself with a barrage of ideas that prevent me from dozing off. Yes, I do have a hyperactive brain, no thanks to my occasional mania and—believe it or not—epilepsy (I have temporal lobe epilepsy which, in its queerest form, initialises bipolar disorder-like symptoms). So, it’s like, I get to have “conversations” in my head every now and then: sometimes to the point of irritation.

Oh well, it seems I just have to keep up with this. Off to sleep with you, you nocturnal philistine…

(I was talking to myself there.)

****

Oh by the way, I have this new little widget on the right sidebar which indicates what I’m currently reading. Right now it’s Frank Kermode’s “Concerning E.M. Forster” which I’ve been enslaving myself for days. (Uh, wait till I get my hands on “The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire”… as if I would, eventually. It’s almost impossible in this country to have a copy of that.)
